Gulfstream Park West:
Race 1, Turf, 1,000 m, Claiming $10k, $17,000, 18:00 CET
#4 Trio of Mischief won in October a similar race and recently was beaten by less than 2 lengths as 4th in a $20k-claiming
#3 Rocksie Lucie won this summer twice in slightly higher class in Park East and finished in September 3rd in Arlington, since then fast workouts in Florida
#5 Starship Journey won in June and was 3rd after a short layoff, about 2 lengths behind the top pick; very fast recent workout
#7 Will to Shine finished this summer 4th twice at stakes level, but then her form declined, was just 3rd and 4th in slightly higher class
#1 Kellyslittlesecret won twice in lower class with an early lead at longer distances, but faces today some better competitors
Analysis: Trio of Mischief is a reliable stalker, which was placed well in much higher class earlier this year, should win again at this low level
Race 2, Dirt, 1,200 m, Maiden Claiming $16-20k, $18,000, 18:30 CET
#7 Table Top conquered in his debut from an outside post a midfield position and gained 2nd place with a good finish
#3 Spark D' Shark disappointed as 5th in his debut; switched to a more successful trainer, who is known for quick improvements
#4 Myorion defended in his debut the lead from the inner post, but after some pressure he faded in the stretch
#8 Cunaviche and #1 Germantown Road have successful siblings and also trained well, so both could be a factor in their debuts
Analysis: Table Top impressed in lower class with an excellent finish and showed the fastest recent workout, so he gets the vote
Race 3, Turf, 1 Mile, Claiming $8k, $16,000, 19:00 CET
#7 Minecraft finished 5th in allowance class after two victories in slightly better claimings; switches to another jockey today
#8 Kitten in May won his recent start with today’s good jockey from the same outer post; before he had been beaten just by a neck
#4 Hudson Miracle was in Monmouth 3 times runner-up, then won his first start at this track and recently missed just by a nose; switched to a less successful trainer
#1 Nineinthenine is back to his preferred track and should be noted in the trifecta as well as #5 Fan Base, which won after two dull efforts in Monmouth
Analysis: Minecraft won twice in October from outer posts due to his good late speed, so only the jockey change is a minor issue
Race 4, Dirt, 1,200 m, Claiming $16k, $19,000, 19:30 CET
#2 High End Queen earned already some money at stakes level; won here in slightly higher class, but disappointed recently as 3rd
#1 King of Jak was over 8 lengths ahead in her debut and then was beaten by less than 2 lengths in slightly higher class
#3 Summer in Seattle was no factor in her debut at high maiden level, then won with today’s jockey masterfully a maiden claiming
#7 Capture the Sun had troubles in the outside gate in her debut, nevertheless she pressured the leader and won; first time Lasix
Analysis: High End Queen got excellent speed and recently just failed, because she had lost some ground by bumping at the start
Race 5, Turf, 1,710 m, Allowance opt. Claiming $62,500, $40,000, 20:00CET
#1 In My Time was 3rd and recently in her first start at this track 6th at stakes level after an impressive series of top-2 results
#6 Aljalela won her debut as 2-year-old, after a layoff she succeeded in allowance class; here recently 3rd in a stakes race
#3 Sawyer finished 3rd twice, which is the most likely result today with better post and top jockey and because the classiest horse in this field #2 Joint Return had failed in her only turf start
#5 Bodacious Barb didn’t compete over a year and should need a race despite decent workouts, but could earn some small money as well as the British bred #4 Lily Carstairs, which was absolutely no factor in stakes races on US soil
Analysis: In My Time pressured the pace against classy rivals and eased, shouldn’t have lost his form and is the top contender
